Bombo Lumene is located directly on the N1 toward Kikwit, about 100 km from Kinshasa. After passing the Ndjili International Airport, continue on the N1 for about 1 hour and 15 minutes until you cross the Mai-Ndombe Bridge. From the Mai-Ndombe Bridge, it’s another 15-minute drive to the reserve’s main entrance. The total travel time from downtown Kinshasa to the reserve’s entrance is usually about 2 hours and 15 minutes.
